Crossing Continents: James Barnor

James Barnour is a prominent photographer from the motherland, namely Accra, Ghana. He depicts the life of the everyday african, through the eyes of the bourgeoisie (his parents were civil servants) and displays a humanity and affinity often left out when photographers depict West Africa.

In a similar light to my grandparents, James moved from Ghana to London in the 1950's and displays the conflict between his home african aesthetic and the european model he's seemingly embracing.

An East Londoner In Scotland (TEMPZ!)

For those of us current with "Grime Daily" Tempah T ( not to be confused with Tinie Tempah), has been galavanting around the UK promoting his "Next Hype" single with the backing of the ghetto's adopted granddad Tim Westwood. Here's he's "parring" everything, everyone and seems genuinely bemused that all those around him are all Scottish.....

Here at AUFS, we promised to bring the big bands to you, and guess what? That's exactly what we've done. Courtesy of the hard work of the AUFS we have secured an exclusive deal, which means that's for under £20 we can offer travel to Glasgow and back, to see Yeasayer on the 24th.
